The Last Post

The Crescendo has had the best of intentions of providing information about singer-songwriters from all genres, with artist and song(s) picks of the week on Sundays, radios show playlists on Mondays, Name The Tunes Tuesdays and opinion blogposts on Thursdays.

After 1.5 years of existence by providing y'all with information about talented singer-songwriters from all genres, 295 posts and a 9 month long radio show incorporated with my blog, The Crescendo is laying down to rest.

Since moving back to Indiana its been hard for me to keep up with The Crescendo and its sister music blog, The Fermata, due to limited internet access.  Therefore after 1.5 years of blogging about music…I’m done.

I encourage those who read this blog to keep searching for artists that break away from the mainstream and create their own sound.  Listen to artists that write their own songs, because that's how music should be!

This is The Crescendo's last post.  However in the words of Springsteen, “Everything dies, baby, that’s a fact, but maybe everything that dies someday comes back."  (“Atlantic City” By Bruce Springsteen)

Artist of the Week:  Jason Eady

Old School authentic country music is the theme of Jason Eady's fourth record that was released in early April.

"AM Country Heaven" originated as a side project for Eady, along with his friend (and producer) Kevin Welch.  Their plan was to lay down some real country music, but as the recordings got underway more and more people appeared in the studio contributing ideas and adding personal touches.

The side project eventually evolved into one of the most highly anticipated albums, and is now one of the most cherished albums of 2012.

The title track on the album states the current condition of country music and sets the tone for the album, which is full of real country music with songs rooted in the daily truths of real lives.

Thanks to Eady, Welch and many others...we are no longer living in FM country Hell.
