Artist of the Week:  Kurt Vile

A passion so strong that it has given him the drive to focus on his own thing with music.  Kurt Vile a folk rock, pop, psychedelic music artist is making a rise in the underground music scene.


You may associate Kurt with the Philly band, War on Drugs.  Kurt was in the band and also while he was in the band he was pursuing a solo career at the same time.  He knew right away that he couldn't do both, but he still laid it all on the line and did both anyways.  I commend him for doing both.

Kurt has released two albums as a solo artist.  Constant Hitmaker in 2008 and Childish Prodigy in 2009.

For the rest of 2011, Kurt has planned to tour a lot more than usual and work on getting his new EP out by the end of winter 2011 or maybe even sooner.  

So, keep on the look out for this next music artist to make it out of the underground scene and be a household name.
