Ans: Democracy is a political system, designed for the people, as citizens to actively participate in politics and civic life. Also the people are able to choose and replace the government through free and fair elections that will represent them at local and national levels.

Ans: Election politics are when the citizens vote for the government officials in an organized election process and the government officials are the ones making the decisions on certain policies. Public politics are when citizens vote directly to approve or disapprove certain policies.

Ans: Hunter S. Thompson, is one of my favorite journalists that wrote for Rolling Stone magazine. He is very famous for his controversial and derogative stories that he wrote. However if it was not for the First Amendment he wouldn’t have been able to write those stories. Then we wouldn’t have such great stories by Hunter S. Thompson where he was just telling it like it was and speaking the truth.
