Artist of the Week:  Tyler Barham

About a year ago, a friend of mine introduced me to this extremely talented Youtube country singing cutie!!!  And since most of my blog followers are country music fans here's a country artist you better start looking out for.

Tyler Barham has been videotaping himself playing guitar and singing covers of coutnry songs and posting them on Youtube for many years, since he's not old enough to perform in bars.  Smart cookie to use Youtube and get the word out about his music, eh?  Since posting his videos he has become a Youtube sensation with over 4.5 million Youtube plays in a three-year period, 400,000 channel views and over 14,000  Youtube subscribers.

In 2008, Tyler competed in the 'Next GAC Star' talent show search.  Tyler placed 6th in the contest, but didn't let that discourage him.  He went back home to Montana and kept posting his music on Youtube.  Eventually, Tyler's persistence paid off, because he has been able to release two EPs since 2010.

I think the thing that amazes me the most about Tyler is that he's totally interactive with his fans.  Tyler's home website allows you to chat with him through livestream every Tuesday, when his schedule permits of course, but still!  That's truly impressive, because you don't find too many music artists doing things like that with their fans.

So, here's to an amazing upcoming country artist...Tyler Barham.

Video:  Here's a video of Tyler Barham, Mitch Rossell and John Griffin rewriting Blake Shelton's song, "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking".  It's hilarious and you'll love it!!!

Video:  Miranda Lambert watched the video above and tweeted about the video on Twitter.  She was so impressed by the video that she challenged the guys to rewrite one of her songs.  And you can't turn down a challenge to Miranda Lambert, right?  So, here's a rewrite to Miranda Lambert's song, "White Liar".  This is a MUST WATCH!!! TRUST ME, HAVE I EVER INTRODUCED Y'ALL TO A BAD VIDEO?  I DIDN'T THINK, SO.  SO, WATCH THE VID. ALREADY!!!

Video:  In all seriousness, here's Tyler Barham performing one of his own songs.  He's an amazing talent and I'm sure you'll love the video.
