Songs of the Week:      Songs about
                                Hunter S. Thompson

All righty, so if you don't know who Hunter S. Thompson is then let me fill you in.  Hunter S. Thompson was an author and a journalist from Louisville, Kentucky.  He is better known for his vulgar and hold nothing back journalistic approach writings for Rolling Stone magazine.

He is also the sole creator of Gonzo journalism, which is a style of reporting where reporters involve themselves so much in their stories that they become the central figures.

Hunter also struggled throughout most of his life with alcohol, LSD, mescaline, cocaine and other drugs.  While suffering from many health problems, he committed suicide in 2005, at the age of 67.

"(Rocketship) Hunter S. Thompson" by Scott Copeland
(Yes, Scott Copeland is the original singer-songwriter of this song, NOT the Casey Donahew Band!  The CDB just covered the song.)

"L.A. County Blues" By The Band of Heathens
